Marengo Ridge Golf Club first opened for play in 1965. The par-72 course was designed by William J. Spear.
Marengo Ridge Golf Club is a beautiful 18 hole course nestled in rural McHenry County. The course features a front nine that confronts you with water, bunkers, environmental areas, and large undulating greens. The back nine features a more traditional style course with mature woodlands, gently rolling hills, and numerous doglegs.
Marengo Ridge Golf Club has played host to the 1999 U.S. Open local qualifier, the McHenry County Amateur in 2000 and 2001, and has hosted the Illinois PGA Stroke Play #3 in June of 2002.

White tees: 6,293 yards, 70.5 / 124.
Red tees: yards, 5,392 71.5 / 125.

great value course. well kept and in nice shape. fairways and greens were in good condition. A little inconsistent on some of the greens, probably due to playing early in the season. good layout with a nice mix of holes.
